For me, there was a great storytelling piece there, which is that he fails and then you forget about it. But his hostile act and what that does to Don, that’s the story I’m trying to tell. If you can see everything I do coming, if you can see everything coming — at the end of season 1, I heard from people who said they could tell Peggy was pregnant by the end of episode 3. And I was like, “Look, you know what? If you’re that far ahead of it, then you’re probably not enjoying it. I’m fine with that. Don’t watch it.”
