I covered another startup and its launch party! I found the startup lacking, and/or targeted toward people with $100 to spend on a single four-page travel itinerary!

I guess I was supposed to buy Nick a seltzer, but he never introduced himself. I did invite him though, because he asked very politely.  

This is all in good fun, I guess. The way I have come to think about the Startup Social series as as a version of Quantum Leap. Nick “jumps” to a new party each article. The role of social injustice on Quantum Leap appears in the coverage as comments from Nick that can be summarized by “I don’t understand this idea and I can’t believe other people would like it.” Obviously Mohney is Al, since when is Mohney NOT a cigar-chomping hologram? 

Anyway, I presume Nick’s last leap/article will be to a startup he likes and/or founds himself.
